South China University of Technology (SCUT) is one of China’s leading universities. It operates under the direct leadership of the State Ministry of Education. It is a member of Project 985 and Project 211 which qualifies it as a top institution of teaching and research. Since 2012, SCUT has held a place in the top 500 of QS World University Rankings.

The Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, known as SWUFE, is one of the Ministry of Education’s 71 key universities. Changchun University of Science and Technology is a university founded in 1958 by Chinese Academy of Sciences. Through years, it has developed into a provincial key university in Jilin province with Optoelectronic technology as its outstanding feature, integrating Optics, Mechanics, Electronics, Computer and Material Science as its superiority and coordinately developing in the fields of Arts, Economics, Management and Law. Beijing Foreign Studies University, or BFSU, located in the Haidian District of Beijing, where the key institutions of higher education and high-tech industries are concentrated, is divided into two campuses – the West Campus and the East Campus. BFSU covers a total area of 492,000 square meters and enjoys access to convenient transportation, with the Third Ring Road running through the two campuses.

The Anshan Institute of Iron and Steel (former University of Science and Technology Liaoning) was authorized to recruit international student in 1996. In 2007, the School of International Education was established co-located with the university international office. In 2017, the School of international Education had become an independent department for the education and training of all international students. It consists three offices (the admission office, the general administration office and the international student affairs office), three teaching units (foreign languages unit, Chinese language unit, and degree education unit), one test center, and a cross-culture adaptation studio. The school employs 19 full time staff, among which, 12 people are professional teachers. There are one professor, 3 associate professors, 7 lectures and 1 teaching assistant.

Xuzhou Medical University, situated in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province(less than three hours by train to Beijing or Shanghai), is an institution of higher education under the direct administration of Jiangsu Provincial Government. Established in 1958, XZMU has now become the center of medical education, medical service and medical research in the north of Jiangsu Province as well as in the whole Huaihai Economic Zone. It is also an independent higher medical institution with its distinct school characteristic. Since 2001, the college was consecutively ranked before fifty in comprehensive strength of national top medical colleges and universities. In 2005, XZMU successfully completed “Undergraduate Course Teaching Level Assessment by the Ministry of Education” with an “Excellence”. In 2005, XZMU began the education for international students. In 2013, XZMU is successfully authorized the right to grant doctoral degree.
