Xi’an Shiyou University (XSYU) is the only multidisciplinary university in northwest China characterized by petroleum and petro-chemistry and jointly built by the People’s Government of Shaanxi Province and the three major national energy companies of China, a high-level university in Shaanxi Province, and a Chinese independent institution admitting international students under Chinese government scholarship.

Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), founded in 1960 and renamed from Nanjing Institute of Meteorology in 2004, was designated in 1978 as one of the key institutions of higher learning in China. NUIST is a national-level key university co-constructed by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). It is also co-established by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government and the State Oceanic Administration (SOA). NUIST has a complete higher education system with undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral programs as well as post-doctoral research centers. The discipline of Atmospheric Science ranks No. 1 in the national discipline evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Education of China in 2012, which has great influence in the world.

Shenyang Agricultural University (SYAU), jointly administered by national and local governments, is a national key university in China. The Chairman of SYAU University Council is Prof. Liu Guanglin. The President of SYAU is Prof. Chen Qijun. With Tianzhu Mountain standing on its north side, the world cultural heritage---Fuling Tomb of Qing Dynastry to its east and Hunhe River to its south, SYAU is situated in the heart of the integrated region linking the two cities of Shenyang and Fushun. Occupying a total area of 10246mu (mu is a unit of area used in China and 1mu is equivalent to around 0.067 hectare) and surrounded with a tranquil neighborhood, a beautiful scenery and a pleasant ecological and cultural environment, SYAU makes an ideal place for teaching, learning and research.

Hebei University of Technology (HEBUT) is a key university as well as one of the national universities under 'Project 211'. Situated in Tianjin city, it is also an important co-construction university under the authority of Hebei Province, Tianjin City and China Ministry of Education. Since 2016, HEBUT has been qualified for entering the first-level universities in Hebei Province for the construction of Double First-rate(world-class university and best discipline).

China Medical University (CMU) was established in the year 1931. CMU was a university affiliated with Ministry of Health (MOH) previously and now it is a university co-constructed by Ministry of Education, National Health and Family Planning Commission and Liaoning Province. In 1940, proposed by Comrade Mao Zedong and approved by Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party, the school changed its name to China Medical University. In 1948, it absorbed and took over the former national Shenyang Medical School (formerly known as the Manchuria Medical College established by the Japanese South Manchuria Railway in 1911) and the former private Liaoning Medical College (formerly known as Shengjing Medical College, founded by the United Presbyterian Church of Scotland in 1883). So it was also one of the earliest schools that delivered college education of western medicine in China. Since its establishment, it has educated more than 90 thousand senior medical professionals including 9 Ministers or Vice Ministers of the central government, more than 40 generals of the army and 14 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering.

Tiangong University (TGU) is a state-run full-time institution of higher education, which is jointly established by the national Ministry of Education and Tianjin Municipal Government. The university has a long history with its earliest departments established in 1912.It began to run independently in 1958 as “Hebei Textile and Engineering School”,which was changed to “Tianjin Textile and Engineering School” in 1968. It was not renamed as “Tianjin Polytechnic University” until the year 2000 and then “Tiangong University” in 2019. In 2017, the university has been selected as the national “Double First-Class” world first-class discipline construction university. Now TGU has developed into a multidisciplinary engineering university with coordinated development of engineering, sciences, management, economics, laws and arts.

Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics (ZUFE) is situated in the prosperous and picturesque city of Hangzhou, which is well known for its history, culture and scenery. It is a provincial university with special distinction in economics and management, which develops harmoniously with diverse disciplines like literature, law, science, engineering, and art.

Situated in Hengyang, a historical and cultural city in central Hunan Province, P.R. China, the university of South China (hereafter referred to as USC or the university) is a comprehensive public university with a history of 61 years. The university was merged in 2000 by the former Hengyang Medical College, founded in 1958 and administrated by Hunan Province, Central South Institute of Technology, in 1959, and the 6th Nuclear Institute, in 1962, both administrated by the former Ministry of Nuclear Industry. The university's Clinical Medicine and Chemistry disciplines have entered the top 1% of the ESI global rankings. In 2019, the university tied for 65th place among mainland Chinese universities in the Times Higher Education World University list.
