Liaoning Technical University was established in 1949, which is a national key university, independent recruitment university of Chinese government scholarship and Liaoning provincial government scholarship, and is located in Fuxin city of Liaoning province and the beautiful coastal city of Huludao, covers an area of 2 million 800 thousand square meters, 42 thousand people registered Chinese and foreign students. Through 68 years development, Liaoning Technical University has developed into one university with nine disciplines such as engineering, management, science, economics, literature, law, agriculture, education and art, and it has 24 colleges, with 109 undergraduate majors, 58 master majors, 25 doctoral programs, 5 postdoctoral research stations, and the scientific personnel training, international exchanges and cooperation for development, teaching facilities, and teaching faculty of famous universities. Since its founding, Liaoning Technical University has trained 120 thousand kinds of talents, including a large number of famous experts and scholars represented by academicians of Chinese Academy of engineering, and a large number of excellent managerial talents of national large and medium-sized enterprises.

We are proud of the high standard of teaching, study and research facilities, learning and living environments and a modern library containing over 2.2 million books. The LNTU journal of natural science is widely recognized by the CSTA , EI and Chinese Academic Journal CD version, and also a resource of Chinese Core Journals. LNTU has 4 post-doctoral working stations, 25 programs for doctor degrees, 58 programs for master degrees and 67 programs for bachelor  degrees.

We have a large body of academics with more than 1700 full-time teachers, of which 1 is an academic of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, 5 academics from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Science, 4 Cheung Kong Scholars, 1 state-level teaching team and More than 1,000 teachers that have the titles of professor or associate professor. We have recently been focusing on talent cultivation, and in 2006 we passed the undergraduate teaching assessment of the Ministry of Education with good grades and more than a 95% graduate employment rate every year. In recent years. We have undertaken more than 3500 projects at state level, the national science foundation and other kinds of scientific research subjects. Between 2017 and 2018, we ranked 49th in the comprehensive competitiveness of Chinese key universities;  in 2016, we ranked 74th  in terms of science and technology funds.

We have always followed the path of globalization, and open education. Domestically, we have contracts with the Shenhua Group, Chinese Coal Energy Group, Zhongping Energy Group, Datong Coal Group, Shanxi Coal Group and more than 20 large national enterprises. We have 120 board units, established intercollegiate ties and academic exchange relationships with respected universities and scientific research units of America, Russia, Vietnam, Germany, Australia, South Africa, Japan and more than 10 other countries. There is also a “3+1+1” academic exchange program with Lawrence Technical University in America.

Campus life is rich and colorful, and we are the only university in Liaoning province to receive the planning project of college students' innovation test by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance. In recent years, the students at our university have won more than 600 prizes in all kinds of science and technology competitions nationwide and at provincial level.  In this new century that is full of hope but also challenges, the whole staff of Liaoning Technical University are determined to have a warm-hearted devotion to establishing a state-level, distinctive and an internationally influential teaching & research university with high morals, heroic feelings and innovative spirits .
