Admission Qualifications
1. Applicants should be a citizen of a country other than the PRC, friendly to China and in good health both mentally and physically; Note: For those Chinese people who immigrated to other countries as foreign students to apply for studying in China, the applicants should hold the valid foreign passport or nationality certificate more than 4 years. In the latest 4 years (up to April 30 of the enrollment year), the applicants lived in a foreign country more than 2 years (the actual living abroad for more than 9 months in a year can be counted as one year, subject to the entry and exit stamps).
2. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 25 when applying for a Bachelor’s program;
3. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 30 when applying for a Master’s program;
4. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a Master’s degree in relevant discipline or its equivalent between the age of 18 and 35 when applying for a doctoral program;
5. Applicants should be an academically excellent holder of a Higher Secondary Certificate or above between the age of 18 and 40 when applying for general visiting program;
6. Applicants have passed HSK (Level 4) when applying for a Chinese-taught program(General Visiting Program is excluded) and their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 5) upon graduation (those who have obtained a degree from a Chinese university using Chinese as the teaching language are not required to provide HSK certificates;
7. Applicants should provide an IELTS certificate with 5.0 or above or other equivalent language proficiency certificate when applying for an English-taught program. Applicants who are from English speaking countries or received education more than 3 years in English can exempt from providing the relevant English language proficiency certificates. Their Chinese proficiency should be at the level of the International Chinese Language Proficiency Standard (Level 3) upon graduation
8. Applicants should provide the Certificate for the Experience of Studying in China from previous school or university if he/she who has studied in China.
