Admission Qualifications

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens in good health and qualified for university application.

2. If both parents or one of the parents of the applicant are Chinese citizens and reside in a foreign country, the applicant should have foreign nationality at birth and hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for at least 4 years. In addition, a record of more than 2 years of actual residence in a foreign country in the last 4 years (by April 30, 2022) is also needed. For people immigrating from Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan to foreign countries and are applying as international students, pls refer to the above requirements.

3. Bachelor’s Degree students should be high school graduates or with equivalent qualification, under 30 years old

4. Master's applicants should have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent education level, under 35 years old.

5. Doctoral applicants should have a master’s degree or equivalent education level, under 40 years old.

6. Language requirements for Chinese-medium Programs:

HSK 4 with 180 scores or above for Bachelor’s

HSK 5 with 180 scores or above for Master’s/PhD;

*or provide other comparable certificates proving Chinese proficiency. Applicants receiving the last degree in China with the instruction in Chinese are exempt from submitting the Chinese proficiency certificates, but the certificate of Chinese medium issued by the school graduated from shall be provided.

7. Language requirements for English-medium Programs(only for non-English speaking countries):

TOEFL 80 or above (15 or above for each item), IELTS 6.0 or above (5.5 or above for each item) for Bachelor’s;

TOEFL 90 or above (20 or above for each item), IELTS 6.5 or above (6.0 or above for each item) for Master’s / PhD;

* or provide other comparable certificates proving English proficiency. Applicants from English-speaking countries or receiving the last degree with the instruction in English are exempt from submitting the English proficiency certificates, but the certificate of English medium issued by the school graduated from shall be provided.
